Children's Ministries

Early Childhood

While parents participate in our ministries, newborns and walkers up to age two are given loving care in one of our nurseries.

Children's Sunday School

Age-appropriate teaching by caring individuals is provided for children age two through sixth grade. Bible truths are taught through a variety of means, including crafts, discussions, and music.

Children's Church

Children age two through third grade have the opportunity to sing praises to God and learn Bible truths through story telling and creative activities while their parents worship in our morning service.

AWANA

This exciting program for children age three through sixth grade is a highlight for families at South Baptist! Under excellent leadership, children have fun while learning about God, memorizing Bible verses, and participating in a variety of activities. AWANA meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year.

Kids Klub

This program, designed to give children ages five through twelve opportunities for spiritual and physical enrichment, meets on Wednesday evenings during the summer while their parents attend the Wednesday evening service.

Other special ministries and activities for children include the annual Easter egg hunt, the children's day camp held each summer, and the annual children's Christmas musical.

Nursery and preschool programs are provided during many of our regularly scheduled ministries.
