Best Question EverWe've all made dumb decisions. No matter who you are, this is something we all share in common. There are purchases we wish we hadn't made, loans we regret signing up for, people we wish we hadn't dated, parties we wish we hadn't gone to, jobs we wish we hadn't taken... the list goes on. Imagine if we could learn to see clearly before we make some of our dumb decisions? Well, not only is that something we desire, it's what God wants for us as well.

Special Farewell Service for Pastor Payne & Family

Immediately following the 10:30 AM service on Sunday, August 2, we will hold a special service to bid farewell to Pastor William Payne and his family. A luncheon will follow in the gym (no PM service). Love gifts can be given to the church and designated for the Paynes during the month of July and will be presented at the farewell service.

Ladies Summer Breakaway – August 6

Join us for the Ladies Summer Breakaway on Thursday, August 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference Center in Muskegon, Michigan. The speaker will be Gloria Gaither. The cost is $25, and includes lunch. Sign up and pay at the Welcome Center. The deadline for signing up is July 19. Labor Day Weekend Church Picnic

Mark your calendar! Sunday, September 6 will be our annual Labor Day Weekend Church Picnic. The picnic will be held at Kensington State Park. More details coming soon...

Ladies Retreat – Sept. 25-26

This fall, SBC is hosting a weekend retreat featuring Beth Moore's DVD series entitled "Loving Well." It will be a time of fellowship, fun and growth as we learn how to show God's love to all people — not just those who are easy to love. Mark your calendars for September 25 and 26 and be sure to attend! The cost is $30 per person and the event is open to all women high school age and up. Watch for registration information coming in August.

Global Outreach Update

In lieu of a Missions Conference this year, we have the opportunity to hear from several missionaries throughout the year. We will take a love offering for each missionary during the service they are with us.

There may be additions to the schedule as we hear from other supported missionaries that might be in our area. Please plan your giving accordingly.

Would you like to receive our missionary updates via email? The Global Outreach team is now offering the ability to sign up for letters and emails from our missionaries (agencies are not included at this time).

Send an email to sbcmissionary@comcast.net indicating which missionary letters you would like to receive. Your email address will ONLY be used to send you missionary updates and will not be shared with anyone.

You will receive the emails from sbcmissionary@comcast.net. You can update your preferences in the future by sending an email to this email address as well.

Computer Donation

If you have any old computer equipment or software you would like to donate to the Global Outreach team for use with the information center, please contact Matt Dosh.

One of our PCs recently died and we would like to replace it. If we can use your donation, we will upgrade accordingly. If we cannot, we will most likely donate it to Goodwill. Goodwill has an environmentally friendly recycling program for old electronics.
